Okay mom, now let's get to it, let's get to it. Alright Silas.
Here we go, Heisei. Hey mama, do you know what it means when people say dream big.

[1:50] Live your wildest dreams, you could do anything if you just dream it.

[1:56] What do people actually mean when they say that? I don't know, maybe like if you put your heart to it, you can do anything.
Yeah, that's definitely a part of it. If you work hard, you can do anything.
Yeah, working hard is definitely a part of it.
We just talked about that on our episode last week, but there's a piece to that,
that um that you and I talked about a lot in the house and it's about manifestation, Oh yeah, there's a bit of mystic true belief,
in your heart, like you said, it comes to manifestation and today we have the queen of manifestation, jen, Mazar is here with us today,
jen is the queen of manifestation.
How cool is that? That's really cool. What are you, the queen of the queen of, oh maybe the princess.
Um but jen is really the queen and has always been able to dream big and really have these outrageous adventures of life but be able to actually live them out.
Like you think of all the coolest things you ever wish you could do, jen does that and has always been doing that and then teaches people how to do that for themselves.
She actually taught mom a thing or two to, you know, she's had her artwork published in the new york times.

[3:21] Yeah, amazing. What the heck I know could you, 11 day you'd be dreaming about that.
She has traveled the world, she married a rock star and she gave birth to both of her.
Beautiful kids in her home, which is not an easy feat to the day, nine years apart, and she started a green school in Africa. She's a pretty powerful babe.

[3:44] She's also a speaker and a coach. She teaches people all around the world how to manifest their biggest dreams and make an impact.
She has started a board game called sparked and she's the author of a great book manifesting made easy by Simon and Schuster who's like kind of a big deal in the publishing world.
So today we get to talk to jen mazer, jen, welcome to the show.
Thank you so much for having me here with you, all of you.
We don't have many guests on the show, but because it's usually just us babbling back and forth, but you're so special and you've made such an impact in our lives and I think teaching humans from a young age how to manifest,
is a really powerful skill,
that we don't talk enough about so silly.
You got a couple of questions for done today, don't you? Yeah.
Alright, let's ask, do you know what it means when people say like dream big or if you put your mind to it you can achieve it.
Yes, so there's so much power,
in our thoughts and our brains and if we can,
allow ourselves to believe that anything is possible, then we're more likely to actually take action and allow that thing to happen.
So when you dream big, you're basically just saying I'm going to open my mind.

[5:13] And I'm going to believe that whatever I want is possible for me,
even if I don't know how or I don't know anybody in my life who actually is doing that right now, but if I believe that I can do it, I know it's possible just because I have that belief.
So it's really about having that positive mind, awesome.
That's really cool that all the time, don't you?
So john would that be like kind of a roundabout way of describing what is manifestation?
Yeah. So it's basically when you set an intention, so an intention is like basically getting really clear about what your big dream is because it's like we're at a restaurant.

[6:04] And you've got a kids menu in front of you and you're looking at the options on the menu and you're placing your order, so you get to decide like, what do I feel like today? Do I want grilled cheese or do I want fish sticks or whatever it is, Right?
And so when you're clear on what you want, then the kitchen can make it for you.
So when you're deciding what you want in your life, like do I want to, you know, be in this school play or you know, do this dance, you're kind of looking at the menu like, okay, here are all the things that I want in my life and then you get to place your order, right?
So I want the grilled cheese or I want to be in the dance recital, but if you don't decide, then it's almost like you can't do it because you haven't actually said I want to do this, like this is my dream.
And so the first step is really like, what do you want?
And it's okay, there's lots of things you can have and and it can change, it's going to change, but it's like what would be really fun for me, what would be like the biggest dream?
Um and it's allowing yourself to say it and then believing that it's possible and then you're basically taking action.
So you're not just like sitting around being like, I want to be a dancer, but then you go and take a dance class because then you're taking action and you're like, okay, if I want to be a dancer, I'm gonna start dancing.
So that's kind of how manifesting works.

[7:29] How can kids like me or younger kids or even older kids apply manifestation in their own way.
So I think it's um really just using your imagination and I think what's so awesome about kids especially,
um is that you've got an open imagination and hopefully you've got nurturing people if you're listening to this podcast around you who are saying like, yes, anything is possible.
Um and it's really just keeping those doors open because oftentimes you've got people around you, whether it's other kids at school or it could be an adult in your life who's like know that you can't do that.
Um but even if other people say that you can't do it as long as you believe it's possible, then you can continue to work on it in practice.
Um have you ever had something that you really wanted Silas um in your life? And maybe you had someone who was like, I don't think you could do that and then you prove them wrong.

[8:34] That happened actually in um spotlight, so which is a dance program, which is a dance program that I do, that we go to competition and all around the house.
We kept saying, I don't think you're up for that.
Like I don't think you have enough commitment to do that or similar, similar ideas to that.

[8:57] And now I'm in spotlight and I'm about to go to competition and I know the dance and I've gotten really good.
Yeah, that's a great example. And I think sometimes it's hard as parents to switch the language from being something negative or not embracing your child's dreams.

[9:18] But also trying to way how much of that we can commit to, how much of that we're capable of, how much can we invest in.
And those are some things that we were talking about early on when we wondered if we could dream as big as being in a, in a team or a company like, like this program you're in. So that's a great example. Yeah.
Yeah. And often even with my kids instead of me, if you know, my daughter has an idea instead of me saying, no, we can't do that.
It's more like, oh, that's a great idea, let's talk about that. Or why don't you draw it out?

[9:59] And um, you know, let's make a picture of what it would look like for the thing that you want to do or create, like, you know, opening a restaurant or, you know, traveling to this place.
So even if as a parent, you don't have the means to do whatever that is right now, you're not closing off the possibility for your kid and you're just saying that's awesome, let's explore that, right?
Or you know, that's a great idea, um which I think is nice.
Yeah, so for you sailor, like you, you've done some amazing things even being on this podcast and being a voice over artists like so tell us to like how you did that.
Did you have the idea that you wanted to do this podcast or did your mom kind of talk to you about it?
How did it happen? So, me and my mom, um we're like, we want to, we want to share something with the world and we were like, we kept thinking on how we could do that.
And then we finally came up with like a podcast and then it seemed like it was going to be really, really hard to get to that point where we could actually do the podcast But over time.

[11:11] We thought about it even more and.

[11:16] We manifested and we eventually got here and now we are doing this with many with many people along the way.
Yeah, that's right, that's a great, great reference I it's um it was like we visualized it,
right and we visualized being able to use our voice for good and sharing our own stories in the hopes that somebody would listen and now we've got you know,
hundreds, thousands of people all over the world that are tuning in which is it fills our hearts with gratitude which then helps perpetuate more opportunity and more manifestation of what you initially set your mind to write.
Yeah, we never thought we'd go this far and now we're like top three in china like what the heck, That's amazing china,
but that's it and one of the principles, one of the things is once you set your dream, like you place your,
order to the kitchen right, which is kind of like putting your dream out there into the world and trusting that it's all going to happen even if you don't know how.

[12:25] I think that's really the fun part is keeping that belief and that expectation, so it's not like you're just trying to do whatever it is that you want to manifest.
Like I'm trying to do podcast but you're like I'm doing a podcast,
and there's a difference because you actually believe it's happening and when you when you take action with that belief then it's okay if it doesn't work out one way or another because you know in the end,
you've got this vision for a reason and it's all going to happen and you're going to have an impact in some way,
even if it's not for thousands of people, like you just felt like, oh, I'm going to have an impact even if you impacted one person, like you would feel good, right, because you took action and you believed it.

[13:09] Yeah and your mom brought up something great about gratitude which is something I talked about a lot.
So when we're grateful and thankful for what we already have, then we're kind of, we can see more things that come into our life to be thankful for. It's like gratitude just expands.
So do you guys practice gratitude on a regular basis?
Yes, yes, we do our Knightly gratitude Yeah. How does that like our little ritual?

[13:37] Do you talk about it at bedtime, bedtime? But like dinner time we have like this thing where we all have like calls and then we say what we're grateful for in that day or that week or what's happening right then.

[13:51] And we always keep that part of the conversation especially when things are good going not so great, you'll call out when I'm driving in the car, you see him frustrated.
So give me five things you're grateful for right now.
And it's a great mental mindset shift.
Right? So it's a mindset shift to remember how much you appreciate in the universe. The collective energy, whether you believe in religion or universal spirituality or whatever.

[14:19] Takes a sigh of relief and says ah yes, they are grateful and they are remaining open to possibility and I think it's a good heart soul check too.
It's a great ritual and actually you bring up something that silly you had a question about before, are there any like fun things you or like rituals you could do for our manifestation with your family or friends.

[14:45] Yeah, so I loved to um, and you can do this anytime, but I think it's fun with my family to do things around like every new moon or full moon because it happens every two weeks, there's a new moon or full moon.
So then it becomes like a fun ritual that you can do on a regular basis.
Um where you're just kind of going around,
on a new moon and maybe going around in a circle and sharing what your big dream is that you want to manifest or,
you can really get specific and say like what's one thing that you want this month that you want to experience And so it feels like a little bit more realistic, like what would be really, what would be a fun thing and often times,
new ideas come up as a family, like, oh I want to go to the art museum or you know, let's go to this new playground or let's go on a bike ride.
Like, so you're checking in with your family too and your kids about what would be fun for them and you're setting intentions that way.
But just by sharing your big dreams and um, and then on a full moon, full moons are fun to kind of let go of stuff.
So if you want, if you feel like, you know I've been,
feeling upset or angry and I want maybe I want to apologize for like,
something, Maybe I yelled at my mom or dad or maybe I got frustrated as a mom and I want to apologize and say, you know, I'm sorry, I want to do better or I recognize like.

[16:11] I've been really busy at work and I want to spend some more time with you.
I think it's nice to kind of connect and everybody check in.

[16:17] And just kind of share something maybe they want forgiveness for um or let go of and also.

[16:24] Um to kind of clean up your house and like make space and organized because we talk, I heard you talk about this on another podcast when you've got.

[16:33] Space in your literal house, in your room and your room is organized and your brain has your space to focus because when things are keep it clear.
Yeah, when things are cluttered around you, it's hard for you to stay focused.
So if we think about a growth mindset and we want to keep growing, we want that space in our brain so we can keep manifesting these bigger dreams. So those are fun things to do as a family.
I love that. Yeah, we talked about that in our house. But if you think of your brain as you know, your other house, if you are clear in your mind of what your goals are or what you want to do, what did you say you wanted to be when you grow up?
I want to be an animal scientist, an animal scientist, right?
And so if you have that in your mind and you can see yourself working with animals in your future, you've got your tools, you know, your stethoscope, you've got all your gear and you really see that if you keep coming back to that,
and your brain is kind of organized in that direction.

[17:36] You will take steps because you're trying to reach that goal just naturally in life.

[17:43] It's really cool gen.

[17:45] Yeah and you know growth mindset, if we think about with manifesting, you talked about visualization a lot right?
So visualizing is really just imagining that you already have what it is that you say that you want.
So it's like what would it feel like if I was an animal scientist and manifesting is a lot about your feeling and I think what's so great about.

[18:11] Listening to you to talk a lot on your podcast is that silo, you're really great at describing your feelings and I think not everybody has that skill set and if we can get better at describing how we feel.

[18:24] That it's going to be easier to manifest, right?
So it's like if I'm an animal scientist, I'm going to feel really good, I'm going to feel like I'm helping animals and,
I feel so nice to help and I feel like I'm a giving person and,
it makes me you know happy and so if I think about the feelings that I want to have when I am the thing that I want then I can think about well what are some things that are going to make me feel giving right now.
So even just this podcast and talking makes you feel good, like it makes you feel empowered and so you're already doing things that are going to help you feel the way you want to feel when you are your big dream right?
So it is a lot about that feeling place, so it's like what you know if we're having a rough day, even like what's something I can do right now, that's going to help me feel good or feel better?
Um I think it's so helpful for kids to think about like,
maybe even having a go to list of five things to do, like if I'm in a bad mood or I have something that you know, a bad day, so I don't stay in that place for a long time and I can get back into that positive place for for manifesting.
So do you have things that help you get back into a good place Sila, if you're kind of having a rough day or something bad happening recently, came up, I recently came up with.

[19:42] You're out of battery. So when you're out of battery you have to lay down and someone gets,
someone hugs you and gives you a big hug and charges you back up to be more powerful and like happy again.
So we do it mostly every morning and every night, but sometimes we have um rough middles of days, so we yes, you hug it out, that's a great example.
Yes, I love that, I love that. A hug charges you up. That's so awful.
So it sounds like to me that incorporating some positive affirmations, which is something we're talking, we're talking more about Silas positive affirmations to yourself.

[20:29] And to your kids are of course, super helpful as a parent.
How do we change that language on an ongoing basis?
You already gave some great examples, jen I'd love to hear like, you know, you're the queen of manifestation with two beautiful Children,
How do you incorporate that on a regular basis in your in the language when it comes to parenting to kind of keep that momentum going.
Yeah, okay pause game. That was enough information for one week, right?
Leaving us with a cliffhanger way to go sai so much good stuff with jen, she's so cool.
I know, so cool and so informative in helping all of us kind of craft our big dream,
and how to manifest things, but there's so much information we're going to pause until the next episode, which happens every two weeks on Wednesdays, taking a break for spring break.
What? And coming back with part two in two weeks.
I can't wait. You have me to stick around friends and tune in in two weeks to the queen of manifestation part to jen maser.

[21:41] Alright, before we head out, a quick shout out to the awesome friends that lend their voices to our vision.
At the top of each episode, she sounds like me is produced by creative catalyst, media LLC and as always, if you like what you hear, subscribe to our tribe online and she sounds like me dot com and find us on social.
